One of the benefits of being a fire fighter
is having the ability to give back to the community in the
form of donations. Our donation process is reviewed by our
Releif Association committee and voted on by our membership.
We have been involved with giving back to
the city for tax relief as well as providing cash donations
for families with children in dire medical need. It is our
policy to review any and all donation requests.
We have voted to donate to the MS walk-a-thon, American Cancer Society walk-a-thon, and the Cystic Fibrosis walk-a-thon.
We also have
a very tight budget when it comes to new equipment. All our
training, supplies and new equipment is paid for by our Relief
Asociation. As can be imagined, running a fire department
can be quite expensive and we are always in need of donations
to keep up with current equipment demands. We have accepted
many donations from private citizens. Most recently we are
able to buy a thermal imaging camera. More to come...
